What is Friday Edits?

Faffless edits for the time poor, the sick of AI cutting you off mid-word folks, the if I ever have to deal with another person on Fiverr I might scream type.

Who are you?

A team with tens of thousands of podcast episodes between them. Yes, really.

How does it work?

You buy an edit, you’ll get a form for any notes, and a link to upload your raw files. Then at 12:03 on Friday, you get the edit back.

What file formats do you accept?

All of them. Send us what you've got.

Do I need separate files for each speaker?

Preferred, and you'll get a better result. But we can work with what you have.

Is this AI?

Nope. Real ears, real judgment, real edits.

Is this a Mechanical Turk?

Absolutely. A box full of humans with real ears and strong opinions about bad audio.

Can I get my edit back by Tuesday / Thursday / Monday?

No.

I edit myself, why would I pay you?

Time.

Will you remove every um and ah?

No. Just the ones that make you sound like you've lost your train of thought. The rest make you sound human. You're welcome.

Will you give me feedback on my podcast?

Nope. That's what your listeners are for.

Why shouldn't I use a free or cheaper AI tool?

Because as much as it pretends to, AI doesn’t have ears. Or eyes. Or taste. Bless it.

Do you do video?

Yep.

Do you handle scheduling?

No, that's what the internet invented VAs for.

What if I want changes?

See Whoops Wednesday.

What are the audio levels on the delivered files?

-16LUFS, -1.5 TP.

Can you work miracles?

No. But we can make it sound A Lot Better™.

Are you doing this because editing is an art form?

No. We are doing it because we believe in making simple things simple. And money, obviously.

How many episodes do you take per Friday?

We cap each week. First come, first served. Miss the window, there's always next Friday.

I have more questions.

There’s always one. Send your infrequently asked question here.
